Students will receive one private lesson each session.

Elective Classes

Full-Day and Half-Day students can choose from a variety of classes designed to enhance their musicianship and provide challenges suited to their individual skill levels. The updated full class listing will be emailed to registered students. 

Examples of 2024 elective classes

1. Music Olympics: Participate in exciting musical challenges that test your skills in technique while building teamwork and camaraderie.

2. Orchestra Excerpts: Explore key excerpts from orchestral repertoire, focusing on technique and interpretation to prepare for auditions.

3. Improvisation through Fiddling: Explore fiddling styles while learning to improvise melodies and embellishments. This class fosters creativity and self-expression.

4. Advanced Strings: The Advanced Strings Program has no age limit and is by invitation only. Students selected will be notified after confirmation of attendance. Students will be selected based on audition materials, faculty recommendations, and the ability to prepare an ensemble piece to performance level within a very short amount of time. 

Selected students will perform in the pre-faculty concert showcase, with repertoire either assigned or pre-approved for the event.
